Announcement: Introducing our new Race Walk Chair – Nicole Court-Menendez

April 13, 2023

Please welcome our new USATF Nebraska Race Walk Chair – Nicole Court-Menendez!

“We are excited to add this position to our leadership team. Nicole brings years of experience in the sport of Race Walking and we are looking forward working with Nicole to grow the sport in Nebraska” according to Mike Maryott, the Nebraska Association President.

Nicole grew up in Maine and has been running since she was able to start with the USATF summer track program that her parents coached. After getting to old to compete she helped to coach every summer. While competing she found the event of racewalking in middle school and competed all through high school where she was a 4 time state placer. She received a scholarship to compete at Dakota Wesleyan University, an NAIA school in South Dakota, in cross country and track and field specializing in racewalk. There she was an 8 time NAIA national qualifier in the 3k (indoor) and 5k (outdoor) racewalk and earned 5 All-American honors. Nicole now lives in Plattsmouth, Nebraska and is excited to bring her love of racewalk to Nebraska.
